How do you charge for your services?

Our services are based on an hourly fee based on the complexity of the work being performed and the experience level of the staff performing the work. Our hourly rates are competitive in the public accounting field. We feel we provide a great value when looking at the work we perform for the cost incurred.

What size clients do you serve?

We provide services to clients of all sizes:

Do you specialize in a particular type of accounting service?

No, but we do emphasize prompt response and innovative solutions to a wide range of business problems, and we research and present in clear language available options for our clients. We offer a wide range of services, including financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations, tax planning and advocacy, estate and trust services, QuickBooks® software consulting, closely held business advisory services, and business valuations. We serve a variety of individuals, not-for-profit organizations, corporations, and partnerships from various industries, and we make serving each client our highest priority.

Can you help me with my QuickBooks® or other accounting software?

Yes. MJW provides support for the QuickBooks® software package. With QuickBooks® Certified ProAdvisors® on staff, we can provide troubleshooting as well as training sessions to help you use QuickBooks® more efficiently and maximize all the benefits its provides.

Do you provide other small business services, such as payroll processing?

MJW can provide payroll reporting, or assist with selecting a payroll service. At MJW, we understand that each client is unique, and we provide services customized to each client’s specific needs.

Do you outsource your tax preparation services?

No. MJW’s philosophy is to offer our clients individualized, comprehensive tax preparation services. To accomplish this, we feel that our clients are better served by in-house tax preparation.

Does your firm participate in the AICPA peer review program?

Yes. MJW participates in the AICPA peer review process, through which our procedures surrounding financial statement procedures are reviewed by another accounting firm every three years. During non-peer review years, we conduct an internal inspection of selected financial statement files, resulting in a detailed report to the staff and management concerning our strengths and weaknesses.

How does MJW ensure data security?

MJW knows the importance of keeping your data secure. We store all of our data in the cloud; none of your data will be stored on servers, computers or laptops that can be easily stolen or made inaccessible. Our storage is managed by a firm that is solely focused on data storage for CPA firms in an SOC compliant data center. We have significant controls over our data with reliable 24/7 access and support. Backups are conducted daily to a separate offsite secure center to ensure we don’t lose your important information due to an unexpected disaster.
